Our Purpose - To regulate the location and use of building, structures, and land, the height of building and other structures, the size of yards, the density and distribution of population; creating districts for said purposes and establishing the boundaries thereof; defining certain terms used herein; providing for the method of administration and amendment; and providing for the imposition of penalties for the violation of the provisions of the ordinance.

Orangeburg County Zoning Ordinance Applications

Permit obtained when a citizen requests sign placement.
 
A process by which an applicant requests a modification which would authorize a principal or accessory use of the property which is not permitted within the zoning district in which the property is located.
 
A require permit that is needed, prior to any land disturbing activity not exempt by Section 4.5-3. No grading permit shall be issued unless and until a Certificate of Zoning Compliance has first been issued.
 
A process by which an applicant requests a zoning change for a single piece of property.
 
This is the required permit for all proposed building and/or development activity unless expressly exempted by the County Building Code.
 
This is the form to use to file when a violation of Zoning Ordinance occurs, or is alleged to have occurred. Complaints may be filed in writing or verbally, stating fully the cause and basis thereof.
 
This is the form to use when submitting Subdivision plans for approval.
