Beer Thief Arrested

6/26/2012 - Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenell thanks the community and the St. Matthews Police Department for their help in arresting the man seen in surveillance video stealing beer.

Ravenell explains "We have served a warrant on Timothy Stewart for stealing beer from a Bamberg Road convenience store on June 20. Stewart was seen in surveillance video using a cement brick to bust a hole in a window to steal 12 cases on beer. He was arrested on Saturday, June 23 by the St. Matthews Police Department following an incident with their officers.

We are grateful for the assistance of the St. Matthews Police Department in investigating a similar crime and arresting Stewart on Saturday."
