Welcome to the Assessor's Office

The Assessor's Office primary responsibility is to maintain accurate appraisal values for real property and mobile homes.  This appraisal value is the basis by which your real-estate property taxes are computed.  Currently, the County of Orangeburg operates on a 5-year schedule for re-appraising purposes as is required by law.  During re-appraisal, property values may increase or decrease depending upon the market, condition of the property, and other factors.
