Arrest in Shooting Incident

4/5/2012 - Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenell releases officers have made an arrest a Tuesday morning shooting.

Ravenell explains "Officers responded to the local hospital shortly after midnight Tuesday morning after two males arrived with gunshot wounds. The 43-year-old victim was treated for a gunshot wound to the head and released on Tuesday. His 18-year-old son was shot once in the right abdomen. He is listed in stable condition in a local hospital. Our investigation indicates the two victims were leaving a business on Jamison Avenue when they were approached by 19-year-old Dietrich Funchess who made statements that he was going to kill his son. The victims got in their vehicle to escape and Funchess followed firing his weapon several times. We have learned through our investigation that Funchess and the 19-year-old victim are involved in an ongoing feud."

Judge Derrick Dash set bond at $300,000 for the two attempted murder charges.
