Narcotics Arrest North Trail Rd

4/26/2012 - Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenell announces the arrest of a 22-year-old Orangeburg man after marijuana and a shotgun were located in his home.

Ravenell explains "Investigators along with a K9 officer conducted a search warrant at a North Trail Road address on Wednesday morning. When they arrived they asked a 19-year-old where Frederick Akeem Shuler was, the 19-year-old told officers he he was not sure where he was. After searching the home, officers located Shuler in his mothers closet. Officers searched the home and a white Chevrolet Cavalier in the yard and located 143 grams of marijuana, a sawed off automatic shotgun, several cell phones, and other items associated with narcotic activity."

Ravenell concludes "The investigators of this agency are doing a superb job in developing solid cases and making arrests. We are continuing our efforts to improve Orangeburg County daily by removing narcotics from our streets and making it harder for those that choose to sell drugs to do business."
