JOB OPENINGS

General Duties: Maintains law and order and enforces federal, state, and local law by patrolling assigned area to enforce laws, investigate crimes, and arrest violators. Activates metal detectors at 7:55 a.m. and unlocks all doors available to the public at 8:00 a.m. Assists in the community. Performs bond hearings. Serves warrants. Transports prisoners. Monitors all persons and items entering building via metal detection equipment. Assists or instructs persons to desired locations. Searches premises every twenty minutes to ensure security of rooms.

Job Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. The individual selected will have the ability to apply common sense understanding, judgment and capacity to make sound and reasonable decisions.
