Information:

Marriage Licenses are issued Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The fee for a Marriage License is $40. (Cash only)

Marriage License fees must be paid in cash.

South Carolina law requires a 24-hour waiting period from the time of application until the license is issued.

Marriage licenses issued in Orangeburg County are valid for 6 months after the date of issuance.

1. Picture Identification (Driver's License, ID Card, etc.)
1. A valid driver's license.
2. Original birth certificate or a certified copy of the birth certificate.
3. A valid S.C. identification card issued by the S.C. Highway Department.
2. Social Security Card.  If you do not have a Social Security Card, acceptable forms of identification are:
1. Alien Identification Number (if you do not have a  Social Security Number).
2. Current military identification card.
3. Both the bride and groom must be present to apply.
4. There are special requirements for brides/grooms under the age of 18.  Please contact the court of additional information.
