IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED that the Orangeburg County Courthouse shall be open for fillings from 10AM to 12PM(noon) Monday through Friday beginning March 30, 2020, and continuing until further order of this Court. Orangeburg County Library Closing Notice

The Orangeburg County Library is committed to serving the community by offering a safe environment for both customers and staff. Therefore, effective March 17, 2020, the Orangeburg County Library and all county library branches will be closed to the public until further notice due to the ongoing and fluid COVID-19 pandemic. For customers who have borrowed library materials in your possession, please hold the materials until the library resumes operation. Overdue fines will be suspended during this closure period. We will be sure to keep customers and staff informed of any updates. Please continue to check Orangeburgcounty.org or county social media outlets for information. Detention Center Notice

The S.C. Department of Corrections has suspended visitation to inmates statewide. Therefore, Orangeburg County Detention Center is following the state recommendation and suspending visitation effective immediately. Orangeburg County does not take this decision lightly, but measures must be put in place to ensure everyone’s health and safety. Along with our telephone provider, GTL, detention center staff will make every effort for those incarcerated to have access to calls with their family and loved ones during this time. Inmate funds must be deposited online due to COVID-19 safety protocols in place. If you need assistance or guidance in depositing online funds into an inmate account, please create an account and login with our vendor, McDaniel Supply Company, at jailpackstore.com or call 912-427-9022 or go to the following link "https://store.jailpackstore.com/store/index" .

Orangeburg County Magistrate Court Notice

Normal operations will resume on Monday, May 18th, 2020 with social distancing guidelines in place. Bond Hearings will still be conducted once a day. County Jobs

An application must be completed for each vacancy. A resume may be attached but not substituted for completing the application. Applicants who are selected for interviews will be contacted by the Human Resources Director or by the supervisor of the hiring department. An applicant who receives a conditional offer of employment will be required to authorize Orangeburg County to conduct a background investigation which will include verification of employment and education history, criminal history, driving record, or other employment-related inquiries. A pre-employment drug test and/or health exam may be required.
